Scientists found a new planet similar to Earth

Scientists found a new planet similar to Earth. This planet, called Kepler-1649c, is 300 light-years away and a little bit bigger than Earth.

It’s exciting because it’s located in a special zone around its star where water might exist as liquid, just like on Earth! Liquid water is important for life as we know it.

This new planet is the most similar one to Earth that scientists have ever found! It’s closer in size to Earth than other planets they’ve discovered, and it gets about the same amount of light from its star as Earth does from the sun. That means it might have a similar temperature to our planet as well.

There’s one big difference though. Kepler-1649c orbits a red dwarf star, which is smaller than our sun. These stars are known for sometimes having big bursts of light, which could make it difficult for life to exist on the planet.

Scientists are still learning more about Kepler-1649c, but this discovery gives us hope that there might be other worlds out there that could support life!
